Oh yah... I guess I should tell people about that. So currently you can check it out here: github.com/NGnius/IdeaBotThe current state allows for people to be notified when a new forum post is made pertaining to them. The official twitter is also scraped, in a similar fashion (minus notifications). The only issue currently (besides the lack of other features) is that the bot doesn't send the messages unless someone actually sends a message first. In a big server, that's not an issue, but on the test server it's hilarious when I post something and I get answered with spam of new forum posts. It also suggests that it's coded really badly, which it is. EDIT: I can't seem to come up with / find a workaround/solution for the issue. I'm trying to multithread/multiprocess the checks function, but every way I try comes up with memory or blocking limitations. If anyone else can up with a solution to the issue, please submit a pull request. I'll love you forever. |

Hahah dammit. Ideally the bot could also be used to spark a new conversation, sucks that it's this hard to get it to act on it's own I'll take a look at it. I don't think I'll be much better than you at it, as I don't have that much experience with coding. But if I try and can't do it, then I won't feel bad to go to a friend for help  Aside from this minor setback, it's great that the bot already has those features! Thanks for it, NG! |

The main issue is I have never tried doing async stuff before. It's not exactly intuitive in some cases.
I may have come up with a way of creating a non-blocking loop, we'll see.
