I thought about making us a discord bot a while ago, but didn't have the time (nor the motivation) to do it during reading week. But with the holiday season just around the corner, I should have lots of time to code. Which means I can finally get around to coding a bot that'll be useful for us. Before I get started, though, I'd like an idea of what people want the bot to do. I know most bots can play music from youtube and make witty remarks when you ping them, but I think those things are built in so nobody needs to worry about that. If you want any extra (read: useful) features on top of those, please add them (if they aren't already there) here: docs.google.com/document/d/1CREz-CWA0GrinAa7d22Q3nfpqj60wywQzJrYCcH1xhU/edit?usp=sharingPS Please go into as much detail as you can; behaviour of specific parts is even more useful, because it allows me to understand exactly what you want. PPS For my sanity please don't duplicate features in the list, because I will have to eventually read through that whole list. Also I will be designing a bot, so I might add a few "Easter Eggs" just for you . PPPS Any non-serious features will also be added. Partly just to spite the person who added it to the wishlist, and partly because it'll be funny.

Random update: stuff and things happened, and now it's more or less functional. The code can be found here: github.com/NGnius/IdeaBot

I feel like I should also announce that I made a release. I'm only five days late, so, um... yeh... we know it works at least - it hasn't crashed yet* Here's the page you can find the release if you're curious or what to laugh at my code: github.com/NGnius/IdeaBot/releasesNow excuse me while I make sure that this shows up in the right channel on Discord. *Idea has not crashed due to software errors. Hardware errors have caused crashes, but those have been fixed by deploying my bot on 12 threads of glorious Ryzen 5 AMD goodness </AMD-fanboying>

Another random update: things and stuff happened, and now I'm out of ways to say that phrase without making look exactly the same as a previous one. That's an issue for next time. Anyways, voting and quoting are things now. Quoting is pretty intuitive, but voting is a bit less - to participate in an advanced vote (ie a private vote) you must react (with the :vote: emoji) to the message the bot sends saying the vote has started (it'll look pretty and have a green bar to the left of the text). It'll then send you a handy-dandy PM allowing you to vote with (more) emojis! In case you haven't noticed, the latest update also added reaction emoji support - now don't mind me while I retreat off to spam Idea with smiley faces!
